Left first dorsal wrist compartment tenosynovectomy and lengthening of the retinaculum
Description of Procedure:
The first dorsal wrist compartment was opened in a Z-lengthening manner. There was not a separate compartment for the EPB tendon. There was marked thickening of the tenosynovium. A tenosynovectomy was performed. The wound was irrigated. The two flaps of the retinaculum were transposed and sutured to each other, nicely lengthening the first dorsal wrist compartment. The wound was irrigated. Skin was closed with nylon skin sutures. The skin edges were infiltrated with 0.5% Marcain with epinephrine.
My question is due I code both procedures or just the tenosynovectomy.
