Wiki Need help with History of Alcoholism codes

Here is the scenario and I don't know whether to code with a V code history code or alcoholism in remission, see below. Any help is appreciated.

Ms. Davis is a 46 year old female who is seen today for a sore throat, fever and cough x 4 days. Exam reveals URI with chronic tracheobronchitis. She was advised once again to stop tobacco use. She continues to smoke 1 PPD. She has a history of alcoholism and reports that she is not drinking at present and is attending weekly AA meetings. Ms. Davis is scheduled to see her psychiatrist next Tuesday to reevaluate her medications for her bipolar disease.

The documentation says history of and the patient is not drinking. As a coder you have no choice but to code the history of alcoholism since that is what is documented.
 
Thank you so much. That is what I did, but I just wasn't sure. This is for a coding test and just needed some clarification. I appreciate it.
