Procdure Performed: Drainage and closure of cystocele. 73 year old MALE.
Under general naesthesia transverse incision was made over a cystocele present on the right. It was drained of its serous fluid. Cultures were taken of the cystocele. The sac that had incorporated the cystocele was then cut free. Attempt was made to identify a lymphatic source, which has proved not to be possible, as had been expected. The previously done fem-fem bypass graft was well incorporated. The tissue was removed. Hemostasis was secured. It was irrigated and the sac was closed in multiple layers using 3-0 vicryl. Skin edges were approximated with Monocryl and steri-strips. Dry dressings were placed.
Thank you.
