Wiki Need help - coding 75820 upper extremity venogram

Hi everyone,

Need help with this claim.

Patient had the following procedures:

1. Dual Pacemaker implant
2. Left upper extremity venogram x 4

Venogram was repeated 4 times, as the surgeon was not able to access the vein.

Can we code this as 75820 x 4 as it was repeated until successful?

I believe it is inclusive to the pacer implant.

I did take a look at our previous claims.

I have been coding them separately.

Anyone else coding for this separately? Please correct me if I am wrong.

If the pacemaker was not placed or attempted to be placed, and vein could not be accessed, code it as 36005 and 75820

The surgeon had difficulty accessing the vein and had multiple attempts until he succeeded. PM was eventually implanted for this patient.
