I am not sure what diagnosis to use if a patient comes back to our office for test results following her visit to the radiologist for a mammogram. The doctor spent 15 min discussing her mammogram and vaginal sonogram results .
It depends on if the results were normal or if a problem was found during either test. You need to see what the provider documented as the results of the visit before you can choose a diagnosis code for the visit. Were they routine screening tests, or was there a sign or symptom that led to the test being ordered? If they are routine tests and had normal results then it would be a "V" code, probably in the V65 section.
