A peer partner had an encounter/service where she contacted a client's mom about the client.
The contact was by phone and at the time of the call the parent was an in-patient at a hospital. The provider selected POS code 51, as the parent was an in-patient.
However, the client is not an in-patient. The encounter/service is being rejected for needing an admission date...but the client isn't the one who's an in-patient.
As the encounter/service was performed in 2022 would the correct POS code be "02" for a audio-only and the parent is outside the home?
