Provider does 30901 to stop nose bleed.
He then prescribes mupirocin, an RX, to prevent future epistaxis.
Patient is new to our practice. Can I code 99203 with 30901 for cautery to nose?

Assessment and Plan
(1) Epistaxis:
Plan:
Patient has had bleeding from the left side of the nose several times over the past few years. The most recent bleed was about 6 weeks ago. A prominent blood vessel was identified in the left side and though it was not bleeding today it was cauterized with silver nitrate and mupirocin was applied. Patient was asked to continue it for a week avoid nose blowing today
