I have two labs with a diagnosis of Possible MRSA carrier. (cultures are negative.)
Obvisouly I can not code this due to "possible" being in the mix.
The problem that I am running into is that none of the providers involved, or that may have been involved, with these patients are claiming responsibilty for ordering these.
They're very old and the billing office really wants to get them sent off.
My question is; can I simply use v71.89?
Or will the facility just have to eat the this?
