Hi List,
I need your help on x-rays in a bad way. I appreciate any help you can give me.
I know about the 73565 Rule but I can't seem to wrap my brain around about how to count the Views for it otherwise.

EXAMPLE 1.
Radiology order:
Patella Bilateral 1 view
Knee Bilateral 1 view and
Knee Bilateral Wt Bearing AP 1 view
Is this the correct coding ?
73562-RT
73562-LT

EXAMPLE 2.
RADIOLOGY ORDER:
Bilateral standing knee film with a lateral view of both knees
Is this correct ?
73562-Rt (RAD exam 1 to 2 views)
73562-Lt (RAD exam 1 to 2 views)

Or is the correct coding: 73564 for 4 views?

73565 can be coded only if it is the only exam done. When additional views are done with the standing AP bilateral, you count the views for each knee and code the appropriate codes by number of views.
