Lft knee injected w/ kenalog,
Rt knee was prepped, large area of chondromalacia of the patellofemoral groove w/ loose flaps of cartilage around the periphery and this was debrided. There was loose body noted just distal to the patella lying in the fat pad behind the patellar tendon.
Medial compartment showed exposed bone over most of the medial femoral condyle w/ furrowing of the femur. There was exposed bone on the tibial surface and a chewed up posterior medial meniscus. The meniscus was debrided w/ a shaver and some synovitis was debrided. The lateral compartment showed normal cartilage. The lateral portal was extended proximally and distally for a total length of 1 1/2 inches and dissection was carried down alond the lateral side of the infrapatellar tendon into the joint and a large loose body was peeled off the back of the patellar tendon...
