Wiki multiple biopsy removal types during colonoscopy

Our office is coming across misleading information in regards to multiple biopsies. Say a provider finds 3 polyps in the sigmoid colon. He ablates one, he snares the 2nd, and cold biopsies the 3rd. How would this be billed? I was taught that since they are all in the same area, to code only the snare. Since there is a pathology, code the snare. But do not bill the cold since it was in the same area. Does anyone have a place to find the guidelines as to where this could be found?

If there was more than one polyp and more than one technique used, you can bill more than one CPT code.
