Wiki multiple bilateral 20610 injection Medicare JL denials

wondering if anyone else is getting denials for bilateral hip and bilateral shoulder 20610 injections --We are being told billed as
20610 with 50 modifier and correct dx codes and 1 unit is counted as two ( so with another line like that but with different appropriate diagnosis codes) and thats all we can bill for dailiy (the one bilateral injection. but no one has written policy of that rule can anyone help? I think its a glitch in Medicare system?

You would need modifier XS for the second 20610-50 so that service won't be denied...if this isn't a Medi-Medi patient.
