Good Morning, We are are a multi-specialty practice with pain management and neurosurgery providers. Same tax-id number, different specialty, different locations. Is there a way to get around denials when the patient is seen by our pain doctor, and then sent to see the neurosurgeon on the same day, or vise versa? Thanks, s

I, also, am with a large multi-specialty group. It sounds like you may need to contact the individual payers from whom you are receiving these denials and ask them if they can identify your claims by the service facility location (box 32), and not just your tax ID and group NPI.

It could be the way your doctors were credentialed. Check the taxonomy codes that they were assigned. I am in a multi-specialty office with four different specialties and we do not have any issues. Hope this helps!
