Hi All- I am trying to gain some additional information on billing for pathologist service for 88305, for a different site but on the same day the surgeon billed for a MOHS procedure. I am getting incidental/bundled denials for the 88305 being included with the 17311,17313,17314 codes billed by the surgeon. We have attempted to bill with a 59 modifier however that has not helped. Any guidance would be appreciated since I can only find reference for the surgeon billing both the same day, not two different providers, different tax ids. As of now these denials revolve around Humana and Aetna (for their Medicare line). The provider claims teams at both insurances were not able to provide any policy to reference. Thanks!
