If two different providers of the same specialty review the same CPT (pathology) on the same day of service, can XP modifier be used to receive payment for both?

No, ABSOLUTELY NOT you seriously may not bill a second CPT charge for someone else within the pathology department to look at it. How do I describe this. They are the "second opinion" reviewing the specimen here. INTERNALLY to either "agree" or "disagree" with the pathologist's signing off on that original pathologist's accession. Malignancy diagnosis requires multiple eyes. If this was a consult would treat differently but you from your statement same day and DOS. That is a BIG NO here.
