So, I have 2 clinicians who are not eligible to become Medicare providers (a LFMT and MA LP), and they each have a client who just got onto Medicare.

I am told that there is a modifier that I can add so I may bill only their secondary insurance (Medical assistance and BCBS), however I cannot find this modifier.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I can bill this incident to as well, however it would be easier to bill the secondary directly in both of these cases.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Hello!
I just read your thread.....i have been stumped by this for some time...were you able to find any information on this? anything at this point will be so much appreciated.
thank you.

Hello:) I have learned since this post that the proper modifier is GY-Satutorily Excluded. I still have had to send a couple of claims back for reconsideration, but for the most part, they go through without problem now. If I send them back, I call in and say that my provider is not elig to be credentialled, and they're sent back right away.

Hope this helps:)
