MMO is doing a large take back on Q0091 for our group going back to 2010 for claim where we billed Q0091 with a preventative. MMO advised us that they did some research and in 2011 ACOG issued a statement stating Q0091 is included in the preventative visit so MMO paid Q0091 in error and now they have requested a large take back. I would like to fight this with MMO because they clearly did not have a policy in place to prevent them from paying a pap with a preventative and if they have just now discovered the ACOG statement stating they should not pay it then they should correct their system going forward and leave what has already been paid as is. Does anyone have anything in writing from MMO on their policy on Q0091 prior to their latest update?
