Wiki Missing patient?

I recieved a superbill for a patient whos wife came
in in his place, as he was having an anxiety attack,
and was unable to leave home. They registered her
as him, the doc wrote a prescription for the man, and
put a 99214 E&M on it. Can we bill for this? To top
it off, he is a Medicare patient.

To bill Medicare the patient must be present. That's all the farther I'm getting into this one. Sounds like more issues than is Medicare billable.

Yea, you can't bill this. If the patient was not seen its a free visit.
