Missed vs Spontaneous AB
This is not my specialty but I do code these in pathology & wanted to help, please feel free to hop in if anyone disagrees with my response.
An abortion is a pregnancy that ends before the baby can survive outside the womb because it has not yet reached viability.
A missed abortion is characterized by there being no reasons to have suspected that the pregnancy is not going to continue but the embryo has died.
The chorionic villi are tiny finger-like projections of the Chorion on the edge of the placenta that faces the wall of the uterus, it essentially forms the placenta with maternal material.
So when you say "Immature and Edematous Chorionic Villi" what I get from that description that the Chorionic Villi has not reached maturity (hasn't developed 100%) and the edematous means it is swollen/enlarged.
