Hi!

I work for a fertiltiy clinic and we recently added a urologist to our practice. He will be performing TESE and TESA procedures on male patients to extract sperm. Does anyone have the coding down for this? I'm worried we are missing out on reimbursement.

This is what we have:
TESE (Testis Sperm Extraction) - 54505, 69990
TESA (aspriation) - 55899, 69990

Can we also bill 89257, 89264, 89335?
Are we missing anything? Are the codes correct?

Thanks!!

Hi Daniel, I work with Wellstar Health System in Metro Atlanta. We have a new provider starting this week from Seattle. He performs the procedures you describe above. This a completely new world for me as none of the other 40+ Urology providers do this type of work. Would you please give me the comparable codes that you use for the TESA - MESA - PESA? Thank you so much for your invaluable advice. Robin :)
