Wiki MI codes and angina

ICD10 has multiple codes for CAD, native vs bypass and w or w/o angina.
I am questioning what a coder can assume re angina.
pt comes in with a documented MI, NSTEMI or STEMI, is taken to the cath lab and CAD is found.
Should the CAD code be listed as one of the w angina codes?
Would this always qualify as angina pectoris?

No you cannot assume angina. An MI does not mean angina. Some patients have an MI without having angina.

what if it states they came in with chest pain?

If the documentation states chest pain then you code chest pain not angina.
