Wiki Medicare replacement policy

Is it now mandatory for a patients traditional Medicare HICN to be included on the claim when the patient has a Medicare replacement policy? Our new IT company insists it is. Prior to this new co. the info was not included and we never had a problem getting paid.
Any insight is helpful.

Mcare Replacement Plans

If you are refering to Medicare Advantage plans (Mcare Part C) I would say, no. We bill these plans all the time and do not submit their traditional Medicare #, we use what is on the card from the plan. We have been billing these plans for sometime now with no issues.
