I work for an Orthopedic practice that is considering obtaining an ultrasound machine for diagnostic musculoskeletal and related ultrasound guidance procedures for the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. I am having a tough time finding the correct links on cms website that will answer my questions about this. Does anyone have any suggestions? We obviously need to know up front if they will allow reimbursement for these services before we bill and have ultrasound added to our list of services if they will cover it. Our practice is in CT (not sure if that matters) and our physician would like to get this moving ASAP if at all possible. Help!!!
