My boss found an article of penalties given in 2015 if you don't participate in the physician quality reporting system in the form of G codes in HCPC II book. The article was in the Amednews.com website. The article says CMS officials are working with the AMA as well as state and speciality societies to raise awareness about the importance of meeting PQRS minimums in 2013.
Our practice doesn't not have a lot of Medicare patients (yet) but should I be aware of checking G-codes and adding them on?

Thanks.

PQRS reporting

You don't say what specialty you are, but if you use a registry to report, you only need 30 patients per provider, for one "measures group". I think I may have even read somewhere that the 2013 reporting for registry is less than 30. But you can go to CMS and download the implementation guide for 2013 PQRS reporting and it will give you all the info you need.
