I was wondering if anyone would know this answer. I am in Pennsylvania, if a procedure is covered by straight medical assistance does the Medicaid HMO also have to cover the procedure or can they state it is non covered. I was looking for the answer in print, if possible. I know the Medicare HMOs have to follow Medicare guidelines, it would be my assumption the Medicaid HMOs would have to follow the Medicaid guidelines. If anyone in PA knows the answer to this I would appreciate it. And if you have a link to this information that would be even better. Thanks in advance!!
