Hello all!

Was just wondering how your organizations handle billing for patients with MediShare, HealthShare, Zion Health, etc. plans that patients present with. Do you work it out with the "insurance" and bill them directly? Are you treating those patients as self-pay? Any insight would be most helpful. Thanks!!

I work in pediatrics. We file to their insurance first and then bill the patient. Since those plans are not considered health insurance, in my state we have the vaccines for children program so we use those vaccines and charge the patient at TOS.
