One of the plastics practices uses 20000 codes for the excision and then also uses ATT 14000 series for a single mass excision. The documentation is "an advancement flap consisting of skin, subcu, and fascia was elevated and advanced into position". I am wondering if this qualifies for the adjacent tissue transfer CPT code along with CPT 27619 if the mass was excised deep down from fascia from leg. How to justify two codes for one procedure.
