Hi all,
I am having a nightmare with coding for general surgeons. The surgeon said that he doesn't need to code co-morbidity unless it directly affects the surgery he is performing. Is this true? please help.

Yes this is true . If it does not add anything pertinent to the reason formthe surgery then there is no need to mention it or code it.
