Is there a code that is more specific for this procedure? I feel like 97140 doesn't do justice to the procedure performed, this code appears (to me) not to be as in depth. Would you use an unlisted procedure of the spine in this instance?
 
I billed 22899 and got a denial from blue cross stated this was an invalid or obsolete code??
