I am working with some Techs that are charging for a G0202-22. I have informed them that a -22 modifier is not valid with G0202 and so they are asking if there is a code to use which represents additional complexity, breast implants for example? I'm not discovering a code nor do I believe that it exists so I thought I would ask the experts.

Is their a HCPCS code which describes inherent complexity for a mammography that can be used in place of using a -22 modifier onto G0202 - G0206?

The G0202 long descriptor shows it to include all necessary views for a screening. Implants do not necessarily mean extra complexity. Additional views may be needed but this is still a regular screening exam unless there are specific findings that require further investigation.
