I'm just curious how other practices are billing for a THR MAKOplasty. Using the S2900 code and if you are getting any additional reimbursement? Or using the Category III T codes? Or are you just billing for a THR 27130 and nothing additional? Any input is much appreciated

In my experience, this all depends on insurance. BCBS, UHR and MCD won't pay for any MAKO codes (20985, 0055T). BCBS calls them experimental. UHR calls them inclusive. MCR will pay 0055T. If commercials won't pay 0055T, try 20985.
