My physician spent 25-30 mins taking down adhesions in the pelvis and after adhesions were dropped the bowel was dropped out of the way nicely with a wide pelvis. Would this be included in the RARP cpt code 55866 and add a 22 modifier or would I use a separate adhesions removal code?

Thanks!!

This is pretty common and incidental to the main procedure performed. I would probably not bill separately or this. If the provider feels that this constitutes substantial extra time over and above what is typically performed, then you could add modifier 22 as long as your documentation substantiates the substantial increase in work.
