Wiki lymphnode excision

My surgeon did a inguinal lymphnode excision which turned out to be small B-cell CCL malignant. It was pretty deep into the subcutaneous tissue, not sure what is a good code for this procedure. 38500?

When would you use limited lymphadenectomy for staging codes 38562?

Any suggestions?

We need more info. Maybe you could post the op note. From what you told us code 38562 doesn't sound right. In code 38562 an abdominal incision is made and pelvic and para-aortic lymph nodes are removed. I'm guessing the incision your doctor made was in the groin.??? Code 38500 or maybe 38760 depending on what the op/path notes says.
