Wiki Lumbar Decompression with Discectomy

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can help me. My doctor did these procedures:

1. Lumbar decompression for lateral recess stenosis at L4-5
2. Microlumbar discectomy of L4-5
3. Transforaminal lumbar interbody arthrodesis at L4-5

Can you please tell me what you would code this?

I was thinking 63047, but the doctor wants to code it as 22630.

Please help!!

We need more information in order to code this, possibly the OP report? Was the lami done just to prepare the interspace? If not, then there could be more than one code (eg., 63047/22630). Also was there instrumentation used, a cage inserted, etc?
