I have a physician who is adamant that I do not need the OP note to bill out surgeries. I know that my employer requires it, but he is saying it's not necessary. The physicians usually supply the codes with their surgeries when they submit for billing. I was wondering if there was any thing in writing that says an OP note is required when submitting surgeries for billing purposes. This doc is stubborn and won't believe it unless he sees it. Thanks for your help.
