Hello, My name is Lynn Punturi. I have recently received my CPC certification and I am looking to get a job as a remote coder. I have been working for a physician for the last 6 1/2 years. Any help or advise that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Have a thick skin and don't get discouraged! There are alot of people looking at the same jobs, and I have heard the "Thanks, but..." speech a bunch lol..most places will ask you to take a pre-employment test as well. Check out the website simplyhired.com, you can set alerts for new posting of remote coding positions and it will send you to the company website to apply. Also, when applying, if they say you must have AHIMA credentials, apply anyway, because most will hire if you agree to get the credentials within so long of employment!
