I am looking for an ICD 9 code for paraspinal muscle necrosis.
Any ideas? Everything I come across is too vague and not accurate.

For the description provided, there is not a specific code. The closest you can get is 728.3 Other specific muscle disorders.

Codergirl, there's no specific code for that...you probably will have to report the code that include other specified disorder of muscle...
