I have twenty years in the medical profession; I am currently a Manager of Support Services at Alliance Business Center for the Kettering Health Physician Network. I have an immense knowledge of medical terminology as well as coding and managerial experience that will benefit your company. SUPERVISION AND TRAINING: I have supervised numerous employees, handled all the scheduling of employees for my department, and the delegation of work. I also handled the reprimanding, hiring, and termination of employees. I have trained numerous employees on Mysis Computer, Lytec Medical, Medical Manager, Encounter, IDX, Access Anywhere, Lastword, AdvantX, ePremis, Epic and Online Insurance Companies for various job duties including posting of payment, patient registration, insurance billing, EDI/EFT/ERA, collections, coding, precertification, and practice administration duties. I trained 3 facilities on RAC and developed the plan that Fort Hamilton uses for RAC audits and tracking. PRIMARY DUITES: In my time at Health Alliance I was Coding Manager for Ft. Hamilton Hospital, West Chester Medical Center and The Drake Center from December 2008 until the position was eliminated in October 2009. I traveled to each facility during the week managing in house and remote coders. I managed delinquent accounts, claim edits as they hit in ePremis, and coding stats on a daily basis for all 3 facilities. I completed audits on LTAC medical records to verify appropriate use of ICD9 and HCPS codes according to coding guidelines. I was the System Administrator for the Medical Records system used at West Chester Medical Center. I developed and implemented the use of Access Anywhere for West Chester Medical Center and they are still currently using it. In that time I also did education to both physicians and their staff on LCD and NCCI edits for billing Medicare. I was the RAC Site Coordinator for all 3 positions and held weekly meeting about RAC, which I continued after I transferred in 2009. In October 2009 I transferred into the Physician Services department where I managed employed physicians and physician practices including their coding and billing. I managed the Anesthesiology, Psychiatry, and Hospitalist division which includes CME, payroll, business expense, and education on billing requirements. I manage the physician billing for these division as well as the billing for the employed Cardiology and Orthopedic physicians, which include charge entry staff, coding, and collections. Under my management the days in A/R dropped from 115 days to 52. I created and maintain with monthly reconciliation the budget for 3 Cost Centers. This position transferred me to Kettering Health Network into the physician billing department as a manager. During the time I have been with Kettering Health Network I have assisted with the implementation of Epic into our 25 plus offices including the billing department. I manage the charges entered into the system from both the EMR and from manual charge entry. I manage the staff responsible for all charge entry edits from both Epic and ePremis including all EDI/EFT/ERA for our company. I have attended multiple classes at Epic University in WI as it relates to all departments in the offices and billing department, I have come back to train each of the 25 plus offices including the billing office on how to work in Epic.

PRIMARY DUITES: As a Lead Billing Specialist I was in charge of the billing staff, supervising the employees that handle the collections on accounts for insurance's and patients for all hospital procedures including radiology and procedure for both inpatient and outpatient. Supervise the employees that post payments from all insurance's, patients and the staff that follows up on A/R. I was the System Administrator for our computer system, which entail's problem shooting and correcting the programming to get the system to function properly. I was in charge of the A/R for all government plans, working directly on MEDA DDE for Medicare as well as all follow up and A/R for all Medicaid plans including the HMO's. I coded for both HCPCS and ICD-9 for both inpatient and all outpatient surgical claims, as well the charging and supplies for all the surgical cases. I trained all of the staff in charge entry, payments, follow-up and policy for correct billing, and on the computer system. I am also trained and have trained staff on Victims of Crime and HCAP process. I transferred to PRN in December 2008.
