May I ask you a question using this thread? We have two office locations, one in NJ and another one in NY. Dr. A sees patient in NY on Tues and Weds and see patient on Mondays in NJ.
Next month we have a schedule issue, so Dr. A has to stay in NJ, so can't go to NY office. Can we hire Locum to cover Dr. A's NY patients while he's seeing patient in NJ?

Okay, just so it is clear:

New York Clinic's physician is away and cannot see patients, let's say for a week. You can hire a locum tenens. As soon as clinic physician is back, the locum tenens cannot see patients at the clinic any more (unless the clinic physician leaves again).

It doesn't matter what NYC physician was doing while he was gone; he was just gone. It doesn't matter that he was working for a different clinic.

Now if they were the same clinic in two different locations it would matter, because he wasn't gone from the company, he just happened to be at a different location for the company.
