Wiki locum tenens billing

One of our providers is going out on leave for six weeks. We have contracted a provider to cover for him, but have questions about billing under locum tenens rules. We know we can bill under our provider and use a Q6 modifier for Medicare and Medicaid. Some of the commercial insurances are stating we must bill under the locum tenens provider. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

We billed a locum tenens for a few month and we billed under our provider with the Q6 to all insurance carriers.
