Hi All,

This is a new procedure we are doing and not sure what codes to bill.
Any help or suggestions will be appreicated.

This procedure is done in our office suite with our x-ray equipment.

The procedure note is as follows.

The pt was then placed in the supine position on the fluoroscopy table. The area over the RT hip region on the laterality of the injection was uncovered and draped. Using fluoroscopy, 1cm medial and 1 cm superior to the lesser trochanter was identifed as the target and marked. The skin over the injection site was cleaned 3 times.

A 22-gauge needle was advanced through the anesthetized skin using intermittent fluoroscopic quidance until reaching the bone at the target region. After negative aspiration for air, CFS, heme, or fluid 1 cc of Omnipaue 200 dye was injected, highlighting the tendon. An image copy was then printed for documentation and placed in the pt chart. After negative aspiration for air, CSF, heme. or fluid, a solution of 3 cc of 0.5% lidocaine and 2 cc of 40 mg Depo-Medrol was injected into the target. The 22-gauge needle was then removed while being flushed with 0.5% lidocaine.

The pt tolerated the procedure well.

Phy. wants to bill 20550, J1030,77002, and Q9965. does it look like we are billing everthing.

Not real sure about the Q9965 if anyone as information or suggestions on were we can get the info. please forward.

Thank you,
