Wiki lipo hips, flanks and back with panniculectomy

New to plastic and reconstruction. Can you code and bill separate areas for the liposuction other than the abdominal area? I know these areas are considered the trunk but can they be coded with 59?

I found that the lipo is cosmetic and would bill patient should any lipsuction be wanted by the patient. However, should the lipo codes be sent for pre-d and/or auth?

No don't Pre D the lipo if its strickly cosmetic.

Lipo is code-able for each extremity. It's not billable to the insurance carrier because it is a cosmetic procedure.
