I work for an FQHC with a few behavioral health providers and interns. We have two interns (LGSWs) that are being supervised by our LICSW. At this point in time, we are not billing for the intern services. Can anyone explain how to bill these services? For Medicare, would this be the incident-to billing? If so, what would need to be added to the notes? Also, what about the other insurance companies? TIA

I assume if the intern is rendering the service with another licensed LCSW in attendance, the LCSW is also signing off on the chart, similar to how a teaching physician signs on a residents account?
