Following informed and consent the patient was brought to the cardiac catheterization lab. A 5-French sheath was inserted into the right common femoral artery after access was gained using single puncure Modifed SeldingerTechinique. A 5-French sheath was also inserted inthe right common femoral vein for intravenous access (patient had difficult peripheral access and hence right common femoral vein was accessed and 5-French Shealth was placed).

...MD went on to do a atherectomy from the the right commom femoral artery access. Can 36000 be codes for the right vein access? Thanks!

What can be billed is 37225, and a true diagnostic peripheral arteriogram.
