LCD On V12.79 for Personal History of Ulcerative Colitis

I need a little help. I am dealing with an insurance company that deals with LCD and a Colonoscopy was performed and the patient has a history of ulcerative colitis..V12.79..This code will not fly. Could V12.70 work or could it be coded with 556.9. Path report came back negative for Colitis..Help

Now what exactly did you code the prosedure as? And what was the reason for the Colonoscopy exactly?
