Wiki lasik post op and plugs on same day

If a patient is seen for a lasic followup at no charge and has plugs inserted on the same day, can an e/m be billed as well as the plug insertion?

Only if the E&M is for the lasik follow-up and it is outside the global period and is separately identifiable from the plug insertion.
