Effective 2018 CMS is removing 55866 from the IPO list. Can 55866 be done Inpatient and Outpatient or just Outpatient now?-

I have not heard about this for the prostatectomies but they did this with the TURP years ago. So, you have to schedule initially as OP and then if the patient status becomes IP, the hospital must call the insurance to get the OK for the change to IP status.
