Has anyone ever heard of, or coded a stomach mass removed by laparscopic procedure?
This was not a biopsy and it was not an excision of a mass.
the surgeons states:
"Following survey laparoscopy, the lesser sac was opened by taking down the greater omentum along the greater curvature oft he stomach using a scalpel. Care was taken to preserve the gastroepipolic arcades. Larger gastric vessels were doubly clipped prior to division.
Following complete immobilization of the greater curvature of the stomach, the mass was resected. An adequate margin around the mass was obtained. The specimen was placed in an EndoCatch retrieval bag and extracted from the abdomen for evaluation."
any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to use the unlisted code if at all possible.
