The ASC I work for performs the Lap Band procedure about once every 2 months. My question is within the past several months I have coded 2 (they are almost always self-pay) and the physician also performed a hiatal hernia repair. Is the hernia repair separately billable to the insurance or is this considered inclusive to the Lap Band? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank You
