Hi all - We have some question as to what would be included in the global for a complex laceration repair CODE 13121. We originally coded the charge for a 7.5cm closure with stitches to the arm. The wound was contaminated and there was extensive debridement so we charged the debridement charge as well. Three days later the patient returned due to bleeding and drainage. The provider removed packing, cleaned area and used steri strips on an area of 3.0cm of the injury. So, would this follow up visit be considered a global 'no' charge since the 13121 has a 10 day global, or would we be able to charge an additional laceration repair or office visit due to the involvement of the treatment? We get a lot of simple repairs but very few like this. Thanking you in advance.

This would be part of the global package. Anything that has to do with the wound during that time would be n/c :)
